Password Generator

What is Password Generator ?

Password Generator we commonly use the same password for multiple id's, also for shopping and social networking websites which is very risky, it means that a security breach at one website will compromise all your accounts, possibly even leading to identity theft.
So, the idea is that you memorise just one, reasonably long/secure master password and use that to generate a set of non-dictionary passwords. Copy and paste the new password(s) into the website and set your web browser to remember them.
All the websites get different passwords, but you only have to remember one only your "Master Password"

How to Use Password Generator ?

  • Enter your Master Password
  • Using UPPER or lower case will produce different passwords, when using this for the first time it's a good idea to use the 'Show Password' tickbox to check that either your password is typed correct or either not.
  • Most websites will send a password reset via email, so set the password for that email account to something completely different, just in case you ever forget the master password!
  • All the generated passwords end in "1a", to guarantee they contain at least one letter and one number.
This password generator works using Javascript, entirely within the page, no data is ever passed back to my server. Notwithstanding this, it is a very good idea to save your own copy of this page. Keeping your own copy ensures that the password generator will still be available to you even if this website goes off-line.

Govt to ask Yahoo, Gmail to route all mails through servers in India

Internet content providers Yahoo, Gmail and others would be asked to route all emails accesed in India through the country even if the mail account is registered outside the country.
The move comes in the wake of instances where security agencies could not have a real-time access to some emails as they were registered outside the country but were opened in India.

During a recent high-level meeting held in the office of Union Home Secretary R K Singh, theDepartment of Information Technology (DIT) was asked to take up the matter at the earliest with the content providers.

During the meeting, director general from CERT-in informed that content provider Yahooautomatically locates all email accounts registered in India to the server in India, minutes of the meeting said.

However, Yahoo accounts registered outside India and subsequently accessed from India are routed through servers outside India, it said.

"It was decided to advice Yahoo, Gmail etc that all emails accessed from India should be routed through servers in India," it said, adding that the DIT would take up the matter with the content providers.

The need for this was felt after security agencies failed to access accounts of suspected terrorists of Indian Mujahideen during the surveillance period as the same had been opened in a European country.

When the content provider was approached, the sleuths were told that in order to see the mails, which had been accessed from India, a request to a European nation where the server was based, was required, official sources said.
